Keep The Bad Elements Out In Style With Offset And Outdoor Patio Umbrellas

By: Kenny F Leichester

In order to make the fullest use of shade you can get, choose the offset umbrellas. It is also known as the cantilever umbrella. It simply means that the pole is off center and at the side instead. Best of all, you can tilt it to an angle that effectively shades its occupants, without affecting the base of the umbrella which is heavy.

The rotating feature of the umbrella can be applied even without a tilt and lock feature. These two features are just special addition to the umbrella.

As you can see, an offset umbrella offers you more flexibility than otherwise, as you can use it in even more ways than before. Put it up wherever you need shade. Use it to shade a particular spot of your swimming pool, spa or Jacuzzi. You don't even need a hole in the middle of your table now.

The flexibility of the umbrella will naturally make it into the focal point of your outdoor area. They umbrella of course costs more than any regular table patio umbrella.

The table’s nature being at the side of the table has its special considerations to look into. Therefore, you need to constant be aware of a few things.

The wind can be an offset umbrella’s worst enemy. If yours is 10 feet diameter in measurement, then it is considered big.

The minimum weight of 100 pounds is recommended for the base of the umbrella. If you want to be on the safe side, get heavier ones.

On the matter of base for the offset umbrella, you have a less expensive choice of a hollow base. Of course, you will need to fill it in with sand or concrete.

You already know that there is a variety of sizes to choose from, but rest assured that outdoor patio umbrellas can generally house four people.

You can get simple roof-like ones or more complicated tent shaped ones that can offer more privacy. In terms of its operation, it can be as simple as a basic push up system, pulley and rope system or less simple ones as in electrical auto lifting.

The fabrics also come in many to choose from. There are polyester and vinyl types. However, if you want it to last longer, protect it with chemicals that can resist elements.

There are a variety of frames to choose from. Wood, chrome steel and anodized aluminum are all in the market. The taller the poles, the more shade it will provide, however, the less stable it becomes.

As for the installation of outdoor patio umbrellas, it all depends on the complexity or simplicity of the one that you have chosen. If intricate lighting is involved, specialists are better suited to the job. The lights themselves can come in a variety of patterns. This depends on the mood you desire to create for your outdoor area at night.

The simplest type of patio umbrellas are of course less expensive. However, when they start to have additional feature such as element resistance, remote control operated and tilt feature, the cost of buying these sophisticated umbrellas rise. Therefore, what you pay for is all the better to make you further enjoy your experience in the patio.

Don't let the cost put you off though. The very reason for it is the comfort and convenience it can afford you and your family. Think about it, even your guests benefit and all the more so when the weather condition is not too kind. Yes, you don't have to be trapped in your house just because it is too hot or that you may get a sun burn. You can enjoy the weather without sacrificing your style or comfort. I say, it is well worth it, as the more durable ones will obviously last longer, a lifetime even.
